Help! I need ideas on movie character for a fancy dress…….
Okay, so first things first I (well me and BF) are going on this crazy fun party bus around town next week and the theme is movie characters. This is where I need your help (PLEASE):
We want to dress up as something so original and so awesome! My BF is 6’2" tall with blonde hair and I am 5’5" tall with dark hair and we want to shock people. I don’t mind wearing a wig or something sexy and completely out there. I’m busted so at times don’t mind flaunting it!
Please help will as many ideas as possible and I will wear the best one! I promise. I want ideas mainly based on character couple’s please ie. Dorothy and the tin man from Wizard of Oz, or Batman and Catwomen. Please ideas, ideas, ideas…………….

So for my textiles project im making a few costumes from the story Dorothy and The Wizard of Oz and at the moment im doing dorothys dress, im sticking to the whole blue and white theme and the dress is blue (like safire blue) and im making like a blouse thingy to go underneath, anyway, i need to do more to the dress than just sewing it together and i was thinking of embroidering something on the bodice but i cant think what i could do that relates to the dorothy story, any ideas? thankyouuu!!! xxxx

I have looked on "all fancy dress ltd" website and they are out of stock of the wizard of oz red shoes for 5 – 7 year old’s!!! arhhhhh – does anyone (from UK websites only)
know where i can get the exact shoe (not high heeled ones or slippers) not that im fussy!! lol – (there for a 3 year old)
if you can be of any help i will give u hundreds of points!!!

Im going to a friend’s fancy dress 16th birthday party next month and I was wondering what to go as..
I said id go as dorothy but i feel its un-original as everyone goes as her.
I wanted to go as the Little mermaid but Im a size 14..

Me and my friends want to dress up for a local fancy dress competition but we aren’t sure what to be. There are 5 of us and we are all girls but im sure a couple of us wouldn’t mind dressing up as boys.
We need something that is quite easy to do but will still look good & something that people will recognise. We have already thought of the wizard of oz but we wanted some more ideas so that we can all decide on exactly what we want.

Theres a birthday party I’m going to and I’m dressing up as Dorothy from the wizard of oz (Yes i know I’m Indonesian but hey it will be uber fun) so I was thinking what kind of make up should I use to achieve the wide-eyed, fresh and innocent look that dorothy has?
What colour blusher should I get? And lip colour?

Help,
I am hosting a hollywood themed (starlets/film characters) fancy dress party and I want an original costume that stands out since I’m the hostess! Some friends have already nabbed the good costumes:
Marilyn Monroe
Audrey Hepburn
Sandy from Grease
Bat girl from Wizard of Oz
Bat girl
I also have a 36inch leg so things like the kill bill outfit won’t fit me properly!
Any other original/kooky suggestions would be fab cause I’m struggling! Thanks!!!

So I have a fancy dress party coming up next thursday and I still haven’t decided what I want to go as. Yeah, stupid me. I did want to go as a fairy but someone I know is already going as one. I want to go girly but im not sure what. Any ideas? I’ve already been told a school girl, dorothy and alice in wonderland but what would you say? Thanks

I’m going to a fancy dress party next week so have bought the typical Dorothy outfit with the white top, blue dress and white stockings and have already got some red heels.
I know I need to fish out a toy dog to use as Toto and some form of basket but I do remember that when I did this when I was about 8 I made a heart for the lion or something.
Does anyone know what else I need? I believe there is something for the tin man and the scarecrow also?

but my loacal fancy dress shops have all closed down. so i was wondering if anyone could help me by telling me, what i could were to go as her or even tell me how the outfit could be made!

I’m going to a fancy dress party as dorothy from the wizard of oz .. its a blue and white dress thing .. and not sure which shoes to get . i can dance better in high heels not flats but i cant find any sparkley red high heels.. so i have found two shoes to choose from .. if you have any other suggestions can you link the website to your comment . x

My daughter is goin fancy dress as Dorothy n needs ruby slippers. I have pink sparkley glitter pumps made of plastic with pink glitter on them. Whats best way to make them RED and glittery? Types of paint? Glue and glitter? Would glitter on them show through paint? What would work best? Thanks xx

Im hosting a fancy dress party, and I am going as Dorothy from Wizard of Oz, and want to turn my red patent shoes into glittery ruby slippers!
I am not sure which would be the best glue to use…. woould PVA just peel off? would epoxy resin be too hard? super glue is quite fiddly, and would be almost impossible to coat two whole shoes in and coat with glitter….
please help!

Been invited to a fancy dress party where each guest’s costume is picked out of a hat at random. I got "Dorothy" (as in Wizard of Oz). Do you think I can get away with wearing a blue checked/gingham shirt and blue trousers with braces? Can you suggest any other way of doing it?
