Halloween Costume for teenage girl?
Me and my 2 friends are dressing up for Halloween. Originally we were all going to go matching but we have changed our minds so NO ideas about group costumes… I have about a million, but we won’t be using them. One of my friends is going as Tinkerbell and the other as a Smurf. I had a lot of ideas for myself but narrowed it down to Dorothy Gale (Wizard of Oz) or Peter Pan. For Dorothy I thought I could wear either a blue gingham dress and white apron or (probably the easier and cheaper choice) a white dress and blue gingham apron, plait my hair and tie with ribbons, wear white stockings and red shoes, carry a basket with a dog in it etc. For Peter I would wear green stockings and try and make or buy a green pointy hat and then get a green shirt/pillow case/dress and chop the bottom in points to make the tunic.
So my questions are:
a) any more good suggestions for a 16 year old girl, and
b) cheap ways to get Peter, Dorothy or your idea of a costume together. I DON’T have much money- or time- and I live in NEW ZEALAND so all the online US stores won’t be appropiate for me.

I love the dorathy idea, super cute! You could also try little red riding hood
I think the Dorothy idea is really good!
Maybe the Black Swan? All you would need is a black tutu, leotard and little plastic or tin foil crown for the clothes. You can do really good makeup simply with just some black liquid liner, white liner, blush and dark lipstick..
You could be hello kitty, that’s what I’m being. Just get a white tank top and a pink skirt, pink bow. You can paint the tip of your nose yellow, paint some whiskers on the side of your face and put on some fake lashes or mascara you know?
A ninja would be really simple too and you can make it more feminine you know? Just put on some black pants (sweats, under armour, anyrhing) and a black long sleeved shirt. Put on like a ski mask or a ski hat a a neck warmer on your face and you could make your eyes stand out by putting on some stand out makeup, like white eyeliner and big lashes
I don’t really know what else you could do for Dorothy or Peter though, they sound cool
I like both ideas of costumes very much! If you are looking for something quick and cheap, I suggest you have a look in your closet and go from there. Once you really start looking you can get some good inspiration. You can also hit up a thrift store for any added accesories
1. Any animals are always a good/cheap idea a bunny with all white clothes, a cat
2. A troll doll is cute cause you just wear nude colored clothing and tease (youtube backcombing) a colorful wig!
3. Rockstar wear all black, ripped pants, get some fake tattoos and black nailpolish
4. Scarecrow! Just get some overalls and a floppy hat and you are good to go
5. Retro! colorful, bright clothes and a side ponytail or pigtails…so cute
6. Ballerina just tie your hair back in a pretty bun, stockings and get a tutu and you are good to go!
7. Angel- all you need is wings!
Remember Sparkles, jewlerry, fun hair and makeup always add to the quality of a costume
Just think of a simple idea, and keep adding!
